I varun kalra, an engg. Pre-final year student resident of Patiala wants to tell u about the misbehaving of police personnel’s at Patiala heritage .I went to see the Patiala heritage on feb.20 around 6.30 p.m. at Sheesh Mahal. I was going for the first time to see the heritage this year 'coz that was the last day, so there was a large no. of peoples standing along the entry gate. I was alone and looking for where to buy the entry pass. No One knows to me there.bcoz there was so much gathering I can’t see the entry ticket gate. I go to one of the person standing inside the entry ropes to ask where to get the pass. he deal with me very politely and telling me about the ticket house, sudden a man in civil dress wearing sky blue turban with a black jacket and black pant came to me and start beating me. I didn't have the time to understand the situation then. He started beating me with punches, kicks. Then two men in police uniform came from inside and gave a stick to that person. thus they all started hitting me with sticks and also continuously abusing me. I was crying sir sorry, sir-sorry, but.....they were not listening to me. I haven’t any fault but asking for pardon me sir......please sir, sorry. Everybody present there was asking for leave me. he is innocent. but after all they were police personnels, how can they leave me. Then a traffic police official came to me and asked what happened; I told him all the matter. That person asks me "sorry yaar, i feel sorry for those foolish peoples”. he hadn't any relation with that discipline committee personels, who beaten me. But he was asking for sorry on the name of police depts. knows that due to some of the bad police men public is loosing his trust from police.
I want to mail this matter to "Mrs. Perneet Kaur, chairperson-Patiala Heritage Society", but I haven’t got her e-mail ID. I know she is a very decent lady and always cares for general public. I hope she will look into this matter.
fortunately I find this web-site where I can post this letter. I hope u fwd. this letter to senior officials of heritage committee and senior police officials.
