The college prepares students for the 10+2 classes (Humanities and the Science group) and three year degree course in Science and Arts faculties.Training in National Service Scheme is also provided.A number of cultural and literary societies are working in this college.It has produced sports men and women of International levels.In the cycling 5 students of this college represented India in 1970 Asian Games.In Hockey , the girl students of this college represented in Moscow Olympics 1980.The college brings out its magazine 'The Patiala' annually.
