LOCATION : Situated in the north of the old patiala city, just outside the Sheranwala gate

HISTORY:     The Baradari gardens is built around the Baradari palace constructed as a residence  for the crown prince Rajinder singh.A great lover of nature , the crown prince brought all kinds of saplings of rare trees and planted them in the  garden ,the huge fruit trees ,fern house and rock gardens stand testimony to his interest.A great enthusiast of cricket, he got wicket prepared which developed into a great centre of the game of cricket .The Baradari palace now houses the Punjab  state Archives, a repository of of rare documents of  historical importance .The  present city of Patiala owes  much to the Maharaja Yadwindra singh who got the new Moti Bagh Palace constructed in 1962 near the old one .A large no. of buildings with district architectural designs were constructed during the period he was the ruler or Rajpramukh of the PEPSU.
