Academics Affiliation A. R. K. S. Sr. Sec. School is an English medium, co-educational institution, and conducts classes from Ist to XIIth standard, along public School lines. It is affiliated to the Punjab School Education Board, Mohali. The syllabus conforms to that prescribed by the Board. At the +2 level, the School offers its students commerce and humanities. Academic Year The academic year of the School commences from the first of April. Fresh admissions are made immediately after the declaration of results. Admission to XIth class is made on the basis of a student's performance in the matriculation exams. The academic year of the School is divided into 2 terms. The 1st term is from April to September and the 2nd from October to March. Examinations and Promotion To assess the academic progress of the students, the School conducts monthly tests, besides the terminal and annual exams. The Ist term exams are held in September while the IInd term exams are conducted in the 3rd week of December. Annual exams are held in March. Promotion to higher classes depends upon the performance of a student in the monthly, terminal and annual exams. | |
